Johnny Westbury - Tuesday, August 26th, 2014 1:08 AM
You have been an inspiration to me as a musician, performer and as someone that wants to be who he is and thats it.Although I followed Saigon kick after you left, it was never the same. Me being a guitarist I always wondered what it would be like to write together. I am living in San Antonio (sux) but one can dream. I hope you keep doing what you do..being yourself. By the way, how can I get ahold of your solo stuff? Your badass..your fan, Johnny

After all these years, your voice still has a way of touching my soul. For that I am eternally grateful. Thank you :)

Ammie - Sunday, January 19th, 2014 7:28 PM
It had been years since I had listened to Saigon Kick. I sat on my couch, eyes closed and remembered the words, emotions and memories of where that song lead me and for that I say Thank You.

Rain - Tuesday, January 7th, 2014 8:48 PM
To this day I can listen to your music, close my eyes and let your voice carry me away. I get an actual vibration in my soul the moment you being to sing the words...Just like the first time I heard you on my stereo. How I long to hear you live and in person so that I may see where your voice would take me. Love is on the Way, and All I Want Is You are my personal favorites. Thank you for transcending my soul to heights unknown before your voice set it free. You are a true artist. All the Love in the World ~Rain

Hey Matt
When I first heard and saw you perform you were mesmerizing then at 24, ....and you've still got it now. Totally amazing. All I Want was "it" for me. I was 21 and hooked. Still play that on my Ipod and brings tears to my eyes every time, 20 yrs later. But I sing outloud with you - and I try to keep up....poorly I'm sure. lol Love your incredible emotion and expression. And poetry ? Wow. I'm sorry I missed the SK reunion shows. Checked out some of the vids. Bet they were a blast !!! My wish for you is to never stop writing or performing. You are one of those that's far and few between these days. They don't make 'em like you anymore. Cant wait to see whats next. Take care. Peace --- and write loud !!!! ;-P

Bruce Elliott - Tuesday, March 5th, 2013 11:28 AM

Ever want to hang at a show - please let me know. KEEP ROCKING BRO! Peace and best wishes ALWAYS!

Barry - Sunday, December 28th, 2008 12:07 PM
Hi Matt,

I read somewhere that Saigon Kick might be getting together for a reunion show sometime in 2009. Is this true? If so, when/where and could it lead to anything new from the band? Hope your Christmas was a good one.

7th Street Wings in Terre Haute.

Hello Matt, I'm not sure if it was you or another band member, but there was a gold record hanging on the wall of Seventh Street Wings in Terre Haute, Indiana, and we believe it was owned by one of Saigon Kicks band members. Any way, my family and friends would eat there every Friday, and we have never tasted a better wing since then, we still talk about them, and get sad just thinking about the wings and the chips with parm cheese on them. Anyway, now that my mouth is watering, I was wondering if you could give me the name of the band member and any contact information. I would love to surprise my family with the recipe, and I in no way would ever sale or try to make a profit off of someone else's recipe, I've since moved to Fort Wayne, and every new Wing place I try I leave in great disappointment. No other wings come close. Please email me at the above address if you get a moment. Thank you so much for taking the time, I know it seems like a little thing, but it would mean so much to those around me. God bless.

Rob Adams - Sunday, October 19th, 2008 1:18 PM
I remember like it was yesterdat seeing SK in Cleveland, Ohio at the Empire on your 1st tour. There were maybe 25 people there but you guys played as if there were 25,000. It was a life changing experience for me - I wish you all the best and am sorry that SK didn't work out for all involved.

Chad Hinson - Wednesday, September 17th, 2008 8:58 PM
Huge SK fan, Tampa resident who saw you guys 7-8 times. I will drive anywhere to hear you sing. In my opinion the most original voice I have ever heard. Good luck with all your endeavors, hope to see you soon.

You probably didn't remember me, and I'm sorry that I was so "Excited", the 18 year old comes back in me sometimes ya know...anyways, I have a whole lotta Saigon Kick Stuff for ya, if you ever want to go through it, including the time at the Cameo Theater when you decided we all needed a BUTT shot!!! hee, hee. Well drop me a line sometimes, and I can't wait to check out your prophecies. Peace Out, and Keep Representing your SOUTH FLORIDA Roots!!!! Joie :)

Brad Raker - Tuesday, July 15th, 2008 11:06 AM
Great to see you back making great music again. I had a road band called Circle Six back in the day. We did the Button South and City limits, etc. Used to see you guys and Marilyn Manson and the Spooky kids before anybody had a deal at the Treehouse in Hallandale. Ah, good times. Good luck. Best to you, bro.

Michael Phillips - Thursday, June 26th, 2008 11:58 PM
Matt, Saigon Kick was one of the best bands back in the day. Is there any chance of a reunion in 2008? I was in a Baltimore based band back then and we loved to jam to your tunes. Put the bullshit aside and bring back the magic. Life's too short! Mike

I was a roadie and sound engineer for bands on the STI circuit back in the late eighties and early nineties. I just can't help but think about all the good bands and music that was happening back then. Your band Saigon Kick was a great example of that certain sound we all strive for and and some acheived. I miss those days and the fun we all had in that scene. I still listen to your stuff regularly and it sounds as good today as it did to me back in the day. Thanks Brother.

I'm in Tallahassee now working for NPR (a long way from WSHE!)
We have a 1928 Steinway Grand at work I've been waiting for the University to tune for 2 years. Today they did. And tonight when everyone had gone for the weekend, I sat down to hear how it sounded. Now I haven't heard, played, or thought about this song in years, but when my fingers touched the ivory, Come Take Me Now just... poured out. Still gives me chills. Then not 2 hours later, a complete stranger commented on a great picture I have of us from a hundred years or so ago. Had to reach out and touch you, and thank you for touching my life... even still.
I hope our paths cross again someday. Now... to check out your new work! Cool!

Hey Matt. It is an honour to write to you. When I was a teen, I searched for someone going to America just so that I could get them to buy 'The Lizard' (as it was not available at the time in Australia). I have never been into rock, but Love is on the way converted me and gave me such respect for the talent behind the songs. I hope that this message finds you well! I am now searching for another copy of 'The Lizard' as alas.... Mine has gone. Thank God for the internet is all I can say! You are truly gifted. Toni.....xx

Hi Matt, I want to say that your work is awesome.
Of course, I knew about your work as the singer of Saigon Kick and I'm still thinking that you are one of the most talented, outrageous and creative singers of all times and I'm not lying, I'm just telling the truth.

Just in case you want to know, I'm from Chile, a very far away country in which most people loves your work with Saigon Kick and Now with your solo career.

Congratulations for this awesome album.

Matt you should try the UK out on the back of a band touring here - I think you'd be surprised by the response - I know Tesla did a gig recently and plan to come back due to the response - and every time Skid Row come back they get a good turn out - thats cos the old school is still strong.

Just thought I would drop a line and say what so many others have already said:

Your music has made a huge impact on my life, and I appreciate that. As much as I would love to see the legacy of Saigon Kick carry on, you gave us two great records, as did Bieler to a lesser degree, but the debut and "The Lizard" still hold up for me. As an underground club dj, I still sneak in some of your music.

Continued luck in all you do!

Pogo-Joe - Tuesday, January 23rd, 2007 10:09 PM

I see that Carey Peak (from Dore Soul) left you a message about a year ago.

Could you please have him email me at if you still have his email address?

I have known Carey since the day he played "Running With The Devil" at his Lauderdale Lakes Middle School. Anyways I lost touch with him a few years back, as I no longer live in the US.

Even though I knew and was friends with many of the same people you used to hang out with back in the early Saigon days I unfortunately never had the opportunity to meet you.

Athough once while you were shopping at Sam Ash in Miami Lakes about 5 years ago, one of the salesmen there called me since I was the Sennheiser rep back then to help answer some questions you had on headphones and microphones.

Anyways all the best to you and your future musical endeavors!

By the way I know Rich Lavoir (sound familiar) quite well and email him every once and awhile. If you haven't spoke to him, please drop him an email at:

I am sure that he would enjoy hearing from you.

PS - Are you still in touch with Sebastian from Skid Row? If so, will we ever see you on the Gilmore Girls show as well? Just kidding! Take care!

Hi matt I'm from new orleans and remember counting the minutes to see a SAIGON KICK show at the state palace theatre down town sorry to say I was devestated to find out the show was canceled, New Orleans is the getto rap capital of the world its hard to market good metal bands here.....I still listen to your music all the time and notice the different styles and vairations of your music....just like the beatles and led zeppelin.. to me you guys are easily in the same class to bad the mainstream is so f****n out of touch...just look at the current american Idol winner what a no talent asshole....I woulden't let that clown plung in your microphone....iT TURLY MAKES ME SICK...I never knew you guys made two other cd's after lizard... so first thing tomorrow I will have to special order them from best buy or something...because no way I can find it on the shelves..I am so starved for any metal show down here the last coolshow I saw was RATT LA GUNS and WASP together I got so drunk so as not to get depressed when the show was over because no tellin when I'll be able to party and jam like it was the late eighties....There was a metal club back then that had .25cent beer on monday nights....It was great you could get drunk get laid and listen to SAIGON KICK for $2.00dollars...Shit I miss those days....every time I listen to (suzie) in my truck....It breakes my heart....Never think for one secound that your music is dated....If I were to hit the lottery I would gladly pay you guys 60,000 just to play a few songs...Only a few really really appreciate your genius.....Good luck...Heartbroken in new orleans SAL

Well, just got a hand on this surprisingly good CD.
As a huge Saigon Kick fan , I'm trying to get all solo releases of Saigon's members(and that is impossible in Slovenia - yes, you have a hardcore fan in Slovenia, Europe). So I purchased WAr from amazon, and god - it is so freakin' good, althought I was expecting stripped down Saigon Kick sound. Goodbye to all tommorows and the only Saigon Kick sounding song (the last one) are my fav!

Thanks god (or in this case Matt) for music like that!

I just read an article written by you (I believe) in the Pacific Sun 9/06. You review the band Vinyl. Have you heard of Monophonics? playing at 19 broadway tonite. My son is the guitar player. They may help to fill the antsyness you have when you don't see Vinyl for awhile. Jon Korty says they are his favorite band. They will be on tonite headlining.

Hey, Matt, somewhere out in cyberspace -- How much would you charge to do a show? I am totally dead-on serious. My wife and I are celebrating 10 years together in December, and Saigon Kick was the soundtrack to our courtship. We even specified the band at our reception HAD to do some SK songs. It would be absolutely the coolest thing ever if you could pull that off. Drop me a line with an answer (yes, no, who the F*#! are you and why are you stalking me?)

April Roga - Friday, February 24th, 2006 11:30 PM
Hey Matt,

Don't know if you read these posts. I was just going back through the recent posts, as well as posts from 2001. I noticed that Scott Migone posted on here too. Yep, my boyfriend and I know him too. What a great guy that Scott Migone is. Hey Scott if you're reading this, this is Scott Houston's girlfriend, April. Anyway....Matt, when you are performing locally again? I live in Davie, but am moving to Tennessee in a couple of months. Would like to see you perform live before I move.

April Roga - Friday, February 24th, 2006 11:10 PM
Hey Matt,

I am happy to hear that you have released a new CD. One day I hope to meet you. My boyfriend is currently having his CD produced by a mutual friend, Al Edwards husband of Tina Edwards) in Miami Lakes. I thought you were great when you were with Saigon Kick, and I saw you perform with them at the Univ of South FL in Tampa back in the early 90s. Glad to see you are still giving music your all. Keep making music :-)

I actually used to be the stage manager at what was then a massivly popular rock club in LA called Xposure Circus was only open on Sunday nights...$25 got you 5 to 6 bands and a decent bbq buffet.

Saigon Kick were just finishing up recording their first disc and Atlantic asked if they can play a set or 2 at the club. Matt ended up exposing his ass to the audience...and i have pictures...great show...either way...

Monica - Wednesday, May 18th, 2005 6:43 PM
Hey Matt,

I have had War and Peas since you sent it to me last year when I was deployed overseas (thanks!!!), and I love the entire thing. I've always been a huge fan of you and your music since way back in the original SK days (Jason who? the true fans know where the real talent in the band was).

Anyways, yesterday I heard you on XM for the first time and nearly ran off the road. Congrats on finally getting some well-deserved airplay.

Oh, and I went to the premiere of Waking Up Dead in Chicago. Too bad you couldn't make it as well, but some more collaboration between you and Phil would be a great thing.

Keeping my fingers crossed for some possible live shows that a little birdie mentioned.

Hey Matt! Just wanted to say hi and let you know I bought your new CD and think it is excellent! I've been reading your ongoing feud with beiler on metal sludge. What a goof that guy is. When I first bought your CD I played it for my brother who is very knowledgable about music, like me. He said you can really hear who had the talent in SK know after hearing your disc and comparing it to Jason's junk he put out after you were gone. He's just a wannabe frontman and is nobody compared to you! You are an artist, he just doesn't understand what that is! If your ever in the need for a guitarist, drop me a line. I'm a great writer and it would be an honour to play with a guy like you! See ya bro, and good luck!

Jeramie Crum - Monday, May 9th, 2005 7:11 PM

Chris Burns - Thursday, April 7th, 2005 11:10 AM
Matt, The first time I saw you guys was at Talk of War's old warehouse in Pompano. You were always polite to me and was one of the only guys on the Scene that could carry on a conversation. Your mom is also aces as she taught half of the Front men in South Florida how to sing. Tell Kay I said hello. Fat Ass Beiler needs to remember his Cocnut Creek HS days and STFU. You were and will always be the reason he ever made any money. If you ever want to gig in West Palm Beach Shoot me an email. Could help you.

Jason - Friday, April 1st, 2005 2:21 PM
I just came across the Metal Sludge stuff regarding you and Jason Bieler and I have to say I was shocked. I didn't realize there was so much pain there. It's too bad as well because there was some good stuff (music) there. It's just hard to look past the words of March, 2005.

BettynotBarbie - Thursday, March 17th, 2005 8:37 PM
Hey man, I grew up in Pompano and have been around since Toy Soldier and when Tom was in Stentorian. Fuck Jason he has always been an asshole and you are still one of the best singers ever. I have never laughed so hard as I did yesterday when I read that on metal sludge. Good for you. Jason is one of the most overplaying and overly gratuitous guitar players on the planet. Saigon Kick should've gone way futher but it was ruined and everyone back home knows why. Just know that.

Randall - Thursday, March 17th, 2005 4:11 PM
I told you that I would get Sludge to do 20 Questions with you. Let's do some shows together. Hit me at

Randall..... the Frontman of Sixty-10 - Thursday, March 17th, 2005 4:08 PM
What garbage Bieler was saying on Sludge. I have seen you bro in the past few months & you aren't losing your hair or gaining weight. You are just doing you own thing with your solo album, which is great. Would be great if we did some shows together!!! F**k without your voice+ Saigon would never have the success that they did. Bieler is out of his mind.

Mark Snyder - Tuesday, March 15th, 2005 4:43 AM

What's up, been a long time. I am an orignial Saigon Kick fan. Early 90's we went everywhere....Orlando, Tampa, Melbourne....If they played, we were there. We really had a great time with those guys, listening outside the fence when the show was sold out, waiting to hang out and party after shows. I will never forget the times we had.....Outside the Station in Orlando :) good times...........

John Jorgensen - Friday, November 5th, 2004 5:54 PM

Just a few things ... Still listen to the old Saigon Kick tunes. Such a shame about the break-up. I lived in Coral Springs so I remember from the beginning. Great to see you hooked up with one of the best guitarist EVER to come out of S. FL in Dave Scott ... I still listen to thei Tuff Luck tape from 91 with singer Rick Mauer ... Look forward to hearing stuff from you all ... another blast from the past. I remember getting ready to see you play in Coma when O.J. was cruising down the freeway in L.A. Keep rockin', man ... By the way, do you still see Erin Moran at all?

Take care,

Jeramie Crum - Wednesday, May 26th, 2004 2:35 AM
Hey,Matt! How's it hanging? I just found your website by chance through a web search, and I just wanted to say THANK YOU for all the great singing you did for SAIGON KICK!THE LIZARD takes me back to where I started from musically. What an album!Anyway,I have this band that might have an inside track to the Big Time. We're called GLITCH,and we're from a tiny town in OREGON called BANDON.We do very straightforward rock, but not Boy Band shit!Anyways, the album will be called, ctrl+alt+delete,so keep your eye out for it,big guy!I think you'd really enjoy it.I know you probably hear about alot of bands out there, but we are the real deal, baby. There's alot of shitball bands out there trying to get the word out on their music, but,I wouldn't have wrote to you if I were just kidding around. It is definitely groundbreaking material. If you e-mail me back,I'll make sure you get a copy ASAP for your listening pleasure.Just a little payback for all the inspiration your music has put into my life.I hope all your solo stuff does well, you deserve only the best!I'll pick up a copy as soon as I can! THANX,JERAMIE CRUM.A REAL FAN.

Rich Koller - Thursday, May 20th, 2004 12:33 AM

obviously, we've been waiting, Matt. For something, anything really, that would make me feel a bit like the way I did when I first heard Lizard, or Ritual de lo Habituel. I don't have the CD yet (so you should get off you @$$ and send me an advance copy), but I'm sure that whatever's left of your spiralling, maniacal consciousness found its way onto the disc.
Good luck.

That is what I am doing right now and would like to thank you for giving the fans that gift. I am very eager to hear it, since I am a huge fan of Saigon Kick (Old & New). New review of live show here in Tampa Fl. along with a ton of new pictures! Great Job Matt!

O.T. Hill - Saturday, September 20th, 2003 4:08 AM
Holy Shit!!!!Just got back from the Tampa show, the band was razor sharpe! Matt was on, lyrics and attitude was a combination of Jaggar & Freddie Mecury with a hint of Bowie. I've seen him with Saigon Kick and tonight was the best I've ever seen him perform, period. Pete Dembroski also had a KILLER solo, as did Dave Scott. The drummer Jonathan Mover rocked & the band played most of the Wars & Peas CD, plus early SK. Post show, Matt signed pictures and gave out many hugs, absolutley a great guy and very sincere. Pete Dembroski was also especially gracious with his time and he and I had a good chat about the SK days as well as his time with SuperTransAtalantic & Crushdown. The place was crowded, slightley less than full capacity. That was probably only because of massive rain in the Tampa area. If you can see the show in your town, go, and buy your tickets pre-show due to the heavy buzz. Hey Matt, thanks for the show & chat & feel free to fly myself & my wife Yolanda to Miami for an upcoming gig. Anyway,
I'm out.

I'm taking a trip down memory lane. I went through some old photos last night. Was wondering what you've been up to. I'm glad to see you're still at it. As much as I've always loved your voice and your style, I guess I'll have to check out your new cd. I enjoyed the interview. I hope life is treating you well. I'm in aircraft sales now...I've been in aviation for 6 years. Life can be pretty strange. Wish you all the best. XOXO, Lory

Great Interview on Foundry Music......See you soon buddy

Richard Neal Miller - Thursday, June 12th, 2003 6:57 PM
Matt: I saw you w/ Saigon Kick at the Riviera here in Chicago when you guys were opening for Ratt, touring on your first album. I was very impressed with your band, so I saw you guys open for Warrant (fall of 1992). I forget the venue. That was the "Lizard" tour, obviously. I was sad when you left that band and I feel that the post "Lizard" releases paled in comparison. I just found out about those dates you did with the old Saigon Kick rhythm section and I wish I could have seen a show. Oh well. Anyway, I don'y have a copy of your new disc yet, but I'll order one soon.

Kerri - Thursday, June 5th, 2003 8:54 PM

Monica - Monday, May 12th, 2003 7:38 PM
Hey Matt! Just wanna say "hi" and tell you I have been a huge fan of yours since the old Button South days. Back when Saigon Kick was still real. FYSMD!!! (I STILL have the t-shirt) So anyways, if ya wanna get out of the desert and come to tropical paradise, there's about 3,000 of us that could use some good kickass rock over here in BIOT. LOVE the album and I hope to hear it live one day! Peace out!

LeBeth - Saturday, May 10th, 2003 12:24 PM
Hey Matt nice to finally meet you last night. I can't believe it took all these years to happen but it was worth the wait. Like I said last night (and it seems from the comments below that I am not the only one) that you are an amazing performer, you have a great stage presence and your voice always ruled. So I can't wait to hear the new stuff and get reaquainted with The Matt Kramer. Talk to you soon LeBeth

Matt Tritico (Houston, TX) - Monday, May 5th, 2003 7:18 PM
Hi all, and hi Matt K!

Something cool...This question is for EVERYONE. Was Saigon Kick called Toy Soldiers back in the day? The reason is, I have a old video tape that has a concert with them singing at what looks like a high school auditorium!? Does any old SK fan know about this? They did sing a lot of rocking 80's style songs but did include "Month Of Sundays" in the set.

In other news...

In case you don't already know Jason and his brother have started their own label:

In closing...

Recently chatted with Chris McLernon...GREAT GUY! Check out his cool new site at

Rock on everyone!

Hi matt. I am originally from the west palm beach area. I am the lead singer for a band called Dreamzfate. We are based in the tampa area and yes we do have a record out. Anyway Being from the east coast I have followed you and siagon kick back in the day. Even the gigs at the ambasador club in deerfield and of course the button south. You have a great voice and i actually said hello to you at amiami dolphins game . Do you remember when you played there??? lol You dod alot of kick songs that day but one song you did to this day really stood out. You said it was an original song you wrote and if i recall right it was called "BLUE" hope i got that right. Anyway i just wanted to let you know that im glad you are gonna start doing it again for your self and belive me. We as the fans know that you are the main talent. saigon kick was never the same without you so i know you will have much succes. Why dont you e-mail me and let me know when you will play in the tampa area. Right now im in the studio working on our second release. You will see this one in the stores because we just landed a major distribution deal with marshall Blonstien with Morado music out of california si im excited about that. Please Matt. Keep in touch and good luck Rip

Jason Northrop - Monday, April 21st, 2003 3:37 AM
I love the new album. I am so sick of all the whiney rock that is coming out today. War & Peas was a nice change pace. I sincerely hope you will be able to market it to the masses. And thank you so much for sending me the press pack!

Wicky-TarPot - Sunday, April 20th, 2003 12:05 PM
Came across the site by mistake. Saw S.K in London when the first album (one of my all time favs) came out. Ordered your new album and was sure not disappointed it ROCKS! So keep up the good work, you'll always have a fan in England. Thanks.

Ike Thaler - Saturday, April 19th, 2003 3:45 PM
I am glad that I am not the only retrofan out there that still listens to the first 2 classic albums and is still pissed at the destruction of SK. I am ordering the new tracks and looking forward to hearing them. I also hope to see a live show real soon as i always thought that matt had a great stage presence (you were influenced by the best)...

Heard Saigon Kick in Michigan - January, 1993 at a party, thought the vocals were great, bought the record.

Graduated High School and moved to Ft. Lauderdale in September 1993, joined a band.

Found out that Saigon Kick was from the area...I had no idea. Bought the first record. Listened to that record non-stop for 6 months.

Found out your mom gave singing lessons. Started singing lessons in October '93 with K.H. Kramer.

Bought "Water". Thought you did a half-ass job singing. Anyone who lays down 75 overdubs of his voice will eventually fill the space, right? Also, I thought your picture should have been on the record...since you obviously sang on it.

Found out you didn't sing on it and that I missed the real Saigon Kick (you were starting Coma and Jason was putting SK into coma)

Fell into the scene, which was to be Brian Warner's prize-winning egg. Still listened to the first record.

Got fired from my band, broke up with my girlfriend and moved to New York City.

Forgot about Florida. Got a job at a coffee shop. Then at Penthouse Magazine as a temp.

Worked at Penthouse for 4 years. Checked you out on the web a few times. Still listened to the first record, but not as much.

Penthouse went into coma. Started making films. Got layed off from Penthouse.

Got a temporary job at High Times, editing a documentary/history of The Cannabis Cup.

Listened to the first record this evening and Googled SK. Came across this website. Very stoned on a popular NYC weed called Strawberry Cough.

Currently editing a "Chef Ra: Cooking With Ganja" video for High Times.

From what I've learned I would switch them.
Life is grand and sometimes unfair.
Time is vague.

Thought you'd like to know.

Matt, how about a bio here on the site. I saw you once with Siagon Kick in 1991 and then again with Coma in 1994. It was a beautiful surprise, because I was ripped and blown away by a Faith No More show that I had attended that same night. I happened to walk into Club Detroit in St. Pete, and there you were with Coma. It was awesome. You guys even did a cover of WHAT DO YOU DO. I'd like to see more about your trip through the 90's up to today.

I've been looking for you, for what seems like an eternity now! I'm very excited to see that you are putting out more music! You are my all time favourite artist hands down! I'm a guitar player, and now have become a good singer after singing along to all those saigon smokin tunes! Both records front to back are outstanding and I still listen to them all the time! You are one of the main reasons why I have become the musician I am! You take things to another place and level, and if I ever become 1/10 of what you are, I will consider myself great! I'm sorry for rambling but I've been waitng to tell you this for a long time and am pleased I've been given this opportunity to do so! You ROCK, see ya!

Matt -
I'm so glad you're still out there making music! I can't wait to order your disc (love the title - reminds me of my favorite bumper sticker "envision whirled peas"). You probably don't remember me, but we met after a Saigon Kick show in St. Louis (the revival sans Jason). I'm the one who told you that Saigon Kick was the reason that my wife and I were married (I played your songs for her on our 1st date and the requirement for being the band at our wedding was being able to play "Love Is On The Way"). I can honestly say it was one of the greatest moments of my life.
Anywho (a little Canadian reference), just wanted to let you know I'll be picking up the disc at my first opportunity, and reiterate just how much your music has meant to me in the past.
take care and God bless,

Ray - Friday, December 20th, 2002 12:27 PM
I love Saigon Kick!

David, Hammerjacks was one of the best clubs in the D.C. Metro area. They had to tear it down to make parking for the Baltimore Ravens' stadium. That was the 1st place I saw Saigon Kick play and I fell in love. I do agree if there is anything out there with Matt, I'd buy it too. Hey Matt come and see us soon in D.C. or Baltimore!!!

Hey there! Hello from sunny L.A. (actually it's pretty freakin' cold here right now--all us California girls are wearing parkas instead of bikinis!) Just got a chance to check out the new CD & it totally rocks!! You sound better than ever--even a little Bowie-esque (which means a lot coming from someone who believes Bowie is pretty close to God!) This CD blows the doors off most of the L.A. local crap!Keep up the good work, my friend & hope to catch up with you soon!

Just spoke with David, our recent L.A. transplant and guitariste magnifique who told me about this project. Awesome that you are working together. Remember my first Saigon guys opened for RATT here in B'klyn at L'Amour around '90 or '91. I had my Tuff Luck t-shirt on which definitely raised some eyebrows!!! All the best.

Don't know if you remember me or not, but SK played a show in Amarillo a couple of years ago and I was the nutty chick in the wheelchair that basically talked your ear off and wrote on your chest... Hope things go well with the solo project... Come back to Amarillo TX soon!!!!!!

I can't tell you what kind of memories it brought back seeing you jam on Friday at the Jaxx. I love you Matt....Keep the faith...Melissa from Miami

Tom - Tuesday, March 26th, 2002 8:47 PM
I was fortunate enough to catch the last Saigon show last night in Allentown. Your talent as a singer and a performer never cease to amaze me. Thanks for keeping the music alive.

Anthony Apuzzo - Tuesday, March 26th, 2002 4:03 AM
Caught the Saigon Kick show in Hartford CT. Man, that really brought me back to a cool time in my life. I remember seeing Saigon Kick at the Palace Theater in New Haven on the Lizard tour. You guys played with Extreme. That was '91 or '92, when I was in highschool (before Nirvana killed all the music that I love so dear). I still have the ticket stub somewhere. A big thumbs up for not playing "Love is on the Way," you guys are so much better than that one hit wonder crap. Anyways, thanks for a great night and sorry that the CT crowd wasn't bigger for you. Good luck in all you do.
- Anthony (

Atom Shock - Sunday, March 24th, 2002 4:10 PM

JOHN "GEM JONES" SHAW - Sunday, March 17th, 2002 8:50 PM
Killer show at Ziggy's friday night! It was my sixth time to see saigon kick live and i wasn't dissappointed. you guys rocked as always.I was afraid i would miss Jason on guitar but with Matt on vocals again i forgot he wasn't there! Can't wait to see ya' on the road supporting your solo album, Matt!!!

Dan Greene - Saturday, March 16th, 2002 10:12 PM
Great show at Zigy's in W-S last night. It was great to meet you and Jeff and Phil. As I told you last night, that was probably the best sounding hard rock show I've ever seen at that venue, and I've seen probably approaching 100 shows there over the years. It's my second time seeing Saigon Kick (the first time being onthe "Water" tour), but only the first time seeing you perform live. I've always loved your voice on record, but it is live where you shine best, approaching Robert Plant level greatness. No joke. All the best wishes to you.

matschfr - Monday, March 4th, 2002 10:31 AM
Loved the 2 songs on this site. Can't wait to hear more.

gatorman - Monday, December 24th, 2001 4:50 PM
